This is a custom made fixed gear bicycle with a faux woodgrain painted frame. The hand-painted frame and forks by Rob Pollock will set you back £930 and will take roughly a week for Pollock to complete. Tho I won’t order this myself I did find it very beautiful to look at.

fond this post earlier via Stumble upon. Really find it interesting how people maximize space in the smallest of living conditions. Although it does require a person to live in an almost OCD like way.

However it’s still very impressive.

Distracting my self from Work earlier I stumbled across some brilliant skate videos on YouTube by Filmer and skater Brett Novak. The videos stood out to me not just because of the standard of the skaters but it was the beautiful way in which they were shot.

Novak uses slow motion to capture the complexity of some of the moves, yet does not compromise the overall output. There are some brilliant shots of Landscapes which relay to the viewer some of the isolation of the skateboarders that Novak creates in these films.

Here are three of my favorite,

Reflections

Looking at my footage, and from the general use. I’d say it’s important to really watch where you’re skating in relation to dirt uneven ground and puddles can all damage you’re footage and potentially ruin the camera. Also in the morning I had the problem of the SD card popping out. Not completely but enough to stop the camera from recording. As I said before covering this up with a few layers of tape will alleviate this problem.

Also my footage for some reason switches aspect ratio at the begging this can be easily sorted in the follow up video. The general content will be improved the next time. I think I will introduce a more freestyle skateboarding style (tricks etc) rather than just cruising around flat ground. I will look to alter my terrain too, big hills, interesting landmarks etc. Perhaps I will also look to mount the camera to different parts of the skateboard. I think it could look quite good coming from the nose (front) of the board.

I’d be interested to know any thoughts or comments, and please excuse my editing. It’s been a while since I’ve edited video!
